Back in the 1960’s and thereafter, we experienced certain songs that helped us navigate the difficult post Vietnam War angst as well as racial divide.

A song that became an anthem to help us through was written “WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW” is love true love. The composers were Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Today we are facing even more challenging times and hate and fear are on the front pages and the lead news stories. It was with that in mind that I wrote a new anthem entitled “THE WORLD NEEDS MUSIC”.

The video shows parallel stories with shots of burning streets and angry faces seen through the eyes of a young female singer/composer. She goes to her keyboard one night, while in her PJs and responds to the pain of the nightly news by writing her song.

THE WORLD NEEDS MUSIC propels her to a superstar music legend which culminates in her singing at a concert with 100,000 fans waving their phone flashlights at her—the light of humanity.

Since the song was released, a war in the Middle East has raged and anger, fear, hate and intolerance have grown.

THE WORLD NEEDS MUSIC offers hope for a humankind bonded by the magnetic forces that music supplies. Harmony – Hope abounds if we can only sing together in PEACE.
